Davis Polk

The renowned law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP provided a startup grant to fund the Davis Polk Leadership Initiative at Columbia Law School, a cross-disciplinary program designed to prepare students to succeed as leaders in a wide range of sectors. The initiative will include courses and workshops, case studies, research, and professional development to foster leadership, knowledge, and skills for both the private and public sectors worldwide. The Leadership Initiative is only the most recent collaboration between Davis Polk and the Law School. Led by lawyers from the firm, the Davis Polk Asylum Workshop provides Columbia Law students the opportunity to assist in asylum proceedings. In January of 2018, the workshop marks its 25th year in existence.
