In honor of his 50th reunion, Joseph Ryan ’67 has made a bequest intention of $1 million to the Ryan Family Scholarship to support exceptional law students of all socio-economic backgrounds. He is chairman and chief executive officer of Ryan Investments LLC, a private firm with investments in the hospitality industry, the alternative energy business, private banking, and technology start-ups. Prior to creating his own business, Ryan was a partner in Venable LLP’s Business Transactions Group and had served as the executive vice president and general counsel for Marriott International. A generous supporter of the Law School over the years, Ryan recently served as the co-chair for his class’s successful and well-attended 50th Reunion.
